THE PRACTICE:

The Trust and Estate practice includes advising clients in all matters relating to estate planning, estate settlement and trust and estate administration. We assist clients with their estate planning through preparation of Wills, Revocable Trust Agreements, Irrevocable Trust Agreements, Family Limited Partnerships, Living Wills, and Durable Powers of Attorney. We provide family wealth transfer planning to minimize the estate and gift tax. We work to form and represent various charitable organizations and foundations. The firm represents trustees and personal representatives throughout the probate and trust administration process. We prepare all federal and Florida fiduciary returns, and represent clients in all audit and subsequent tax litigation proceedings.  The firm frequently serves as co-counsel with out-of-state law firms in Florida proceedings.

The Tax Controversy practice includes client representation in federal, state and local tax matters. The practice encompasses individual and business tax controversies, including tax audits, administrative appeals and tax litigation. We are experienced in representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the Florida Department of Revenue on civil tax issues.

The firm’s corporate practice is actively involved in all aspects of the law involving corporations. We routinely represent companies in matters ranging from advice on choice of entity, incorporation and formation, general business matters, dissolutions, spin-offs and other forms of reorganization.
